Introducing Our New San Francisco Weed Tour!

Weed Tours visit the Famous intersection of Haight & Ashbury – epicenter of The Summer of Love and San Francisco’s hippie culture

Spring is in the air, and as more and more people are getting vaccinated, you can feel tourism thawing as everyone’s pent up wanderlust is reignited.  People are starting to plan their first outings in over a year, and the excitement is palpable!

For a year we’ve had to settle for vacationing in our minds from home.   Without fail, every morning for this past year, we’ve shared pictures and videos from our tours on Instagram for a little virtual escapism.  Join us on Instagram to see vacation pics from the cannabis farm, the redwoods, and wine tasting at award winning Mendocino wineries.

We also created and built a YouTube channel with videos of all the elements of our cannabis tours – the beautiful cannabis farms and giant redwoods, videos on cannabis history, silly weed jokes, and on 4/20 Shel Silverstein’s epic weed poem – The Smokeoff.

You can also find all of it on our Facebook page.

Virtual weed tours are great, but nothing beats the real thing, and as we enter into spring, we are gearing up for what promises to be a phenomenal year for tourism in general, and marijuana tourism specifically.  Cannabis plants are going in the ground up on the farms in Mendo, and we will be resuming The Mendocino Experience Cannabis Farm Tour this coming Sunday, March 28th!  We can’t wait to be in the Mendo sunshine once again, showing you around the beautiful pot farms, wineries, and redwood forests of The Emerald Triangle!

Even more exciting, we are starting up our all new San Francisco Cannabis Tour!  Nobody knows San Francisco better than we do.  We’ve been in San Francisco tourism for years, starting out on the double decker busses of City Sightseeing and Big Bus, driving around the city, and filling everyone in on San Francisco’s most popular tourist destinations – Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, Coit Tower, Chinatown, Union Square, The Ferry Building, Golden Gate Park, the Haight Ashbury, Alamo Square, Land’s End, etc.  From there we moved on to being driver guides, taking tourists on more individualized San Francisco city tours, to Muir Woods, and wine tasting in the Sonoma & Napa valleys and the Carneros region that borders the San Francisco Bay to the north.  We’re teaming up with some of our friends in San Francisco tourism to bring you San Francisco’s best cannabis dispensaries and some of San Francisco’s most amazing sights!

A tour is a living, evolving experience, and no doubt our San Francisco weed tour will evolve over time, but here’s how we’ve designed it to start:  We will meet at San Francisco’s #1 cannabis dispensary – Barbary Coast – named for what this area of San Francisco was called during the gold rush, when San Francisco was very much the wild west.  From there we will head to one of San Francisco’s most popular neighborhoods where all the locals go, but tourists rarely do – The Mission District – to see The Mission’s famous colorful spectacular murals from an elevated perspective.  From there we head up to The Haight Ashbury, home to The Summer of Love, and hangout of The Grateful Dead, Janice Joplin, and Jimmy Hendrix among other rock and roll legends of the 60s. We’ll stop by The Haight’s most popular pot dispensary, Berner’s on Haight.  From there we will wind up our tour on Hippie Hill in Golden gate Park, home of the very first Be In, and smoking spot for countless San Francisco hippies over the decades.
